Chai Tea Blend
Feel the Warmth & Spice
Embark on a journey to the heart of India with our Chai Tea Blend, a captivating mixture of black BOP teas and a harmonious medley of spices. This blend includes cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and pepper, creating a robust and aromatic infusion that warms and revitalizes with every sip.
Inspired by traditional Indian tea-making methods, our Chai Tea Blend combines high-quality black teas with a carefully selected blend of spices. In India, this type of tea is known as Masala Chai, where "chai" simply means "tea" and "masala" refers to the mixed spices. This beloved beverage is typically simmered with whole milk, producing a creamy, spiced tea that is both comforting and invigorating. Blended in the USA.
Brewing Instructions
For an authentic Chai experience, use about 1 to 2 teaspoons of Chai Tea Blend per 8 oz. cup of water. Follow these steps for a perfect brew:
Simmer: Add the tea blend to a pot with water and bring to a gentle simmer.
Steep: Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, letting the spices infuse fully.
Add Milk: Pour in whole milk (or your preferred milk alternative) and simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
Strain: Strain the tea into your cup, and perhaps float a star anise on top as a garnish to add a nice touch to the presentation of your Chai Tea. Enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
Enjoy your Chai Tea hot, sweetened with a touch of honey or sugar for a traditional touch. For a creamy and indulgent version, add a splash of milk. Chai Tea is also delicious iced – brew as directed, let it cool, and serve over ice for a refreshing spiced beverage.
